Hypur Inc. (Hypur) announced that its electronic payment technology will now be accepted statewide in California for marijuana-related businesses (MRBs) and consumers of cannabis products.
Scottsdale, Arizona, April 4, 2019 – Hypur Inc. (Hypur) announced that its cannabis payment technology will now be accepted statewide in California for marijuana-related businesses (MRBs) and consumers of cannabis products. While other payment schemes have come and gone, beginning next week, marijuana-related businesses throughout California will be able to accept electronic payments with Hypur, as well as request payments from suppliers. Hypur makes it easier and more secure to conduct marijuana-related transactions.
Cannabis suppliers and other MRBs in California can coordinate business payments with Hypur. Hypur allows for transparency and ease of use for both buyer and supplier for any business that lacks access to traditional payment options or that wants a streamlined payment platform that can send and receive funds electronically.
California consumers of cannabis products can use Hypur to pay for cannabis securely. Without access to credit and debit card processing, the cannabis industry is forced to rely on cash or unreliable workaround payment products that put consumers’ information at risk. Hypur’s electronic payment technology helps marijuana-related businesses reduce their reliance on cash while providing a more traditional shopping experience for their consumers and improving the safety of stores and their communities.
With features like auto check-in and Facial and Touch ID, Hypur dramatically improves the in-store payment process for consumers of cannabis products and merchants, so consumers can simply enter in their Personal Access Code (PAC) to verify acceptance of payment to the marijuana-related business.
“Herbl is ecstatic about the addition of Hypur to the California cannabis ecosystem. Hypur will allow the cannabis industry to thrive in the state with access to secure marijuana-related purchases,” said Mike Beaudry, CEO of Herbl.
